🏅🎖Today The Queen held an investiture, welcoming 62 deserving and high-achieving recipients, from all walks of life, to Buckingham Palace to receive their honours. Judith Harper was among the recipients. Judith was honoured with an MBE for her work with foster children. She has fostered nearly 100 children since becoming a carer in 1994 and adopted two. Her Majesty also awarded Mr Edward Grylls, otherwise known as @beargrylls with an OBE for his services to young people in his position as Chief Scout and for his charity and media work. Today's investiture coincided with World Mental Health Day. Swipe ⬅️⬅️to hear Bear, a former SAS servicemen and now keen adventurer, speak about the positive impact that group activities and adventure can have on every person’s mental health. Bear also speaks about receiving his honour from The Queen, who has a long standing relationship with The Scouts; holding the title of Patron since her accession in 1952. Swipe ⬅️⬅️⬅️Her Majesty awarded The Queen’s Gallantry Medal to Mr Christopher Jewell. Chris was part of a British diving crew involved with the rescue mission of 12 boys and their football coach, trapped inside the Tham Luang cave complex in Thailand.
