Papá de Meghan cuenta cómo le pidió Harry la mano de su hija

Thomas Markle, el padre de la duquesa de Sussex, volvió a crear polémicas con nuevas declaraciones.

Príncipe Harry y Meghan Markle no recibieron ninguna felicitación por parte de la familia real en su aniversario.

Thomas Markle, el padre de Meghan Markle contó en entrevista para el show Good Morning Britain algunos de los momentos más románticos de su hija con el príncipe Harry. Markle reveló que fue a través de una llamada telefónica que Meghan le contó sobre su romance con un miembro de la familia real británica, y por si esto fuera poco, de la misma manera Harry le pidió la mano de su hija.

Meghan me llamó y me dijo, ‘Papi, tengo un nuevo novio’, y le dije ‘eso está muy bien'… luego me dijo ‘es un príncipe, es Harry’. Yo le dije ¡oh! Ok”, relató. De la misma forma, Thomas relató que Meghan y él acordaron llamar “H” a Harry durante sus conversaciones para mantener discreción del romance.

Al respecto de la pedida de matrimonio, el fotógrafo detalló: “Meghan me lo dijo primero. Luego ambos me llamaron y se pusieron al teléfono juntos y Harry pidió su mano en el teléfono… Le dije: ‘Eres un caballero. Prométeme que nunca levantarás la mano contra mi hija y te doy mi permiso’”.

Por último, Thomas aseguró que fue un impacto para él enterarse que su hija estaba enamorada de uno de los hombres más poderosos del mundo, aunque no dudó en señalar que Meghan también es muy valiosa. “Mi hija ha sido una princesa desde que era niña así que no tengo problemas con eso”.

Contrario a lo que ocurre comúnmente en cada aniversario de boda o cumpleaños de un integrante de la familia real, en el segundo aniversario de Meghan Markle y el príncipe Harry , los royals no felicitaron públicamente a la pareja.

De acuerdo con el diario Express.uk esa situación pudo deberse a que, la familia real consideró que no era el momento para felicitar a la pareja, sobre todo por la pandemia por el coronavirus con la que vive todo el mundo. No obstante, esta teoría pierde sentido, ya que el pasado 6 de mayo la reina Isabel II, el príncipe Carlos y los duques de Cambrige publicaron una fotografía de Archie Harrison para felicitarlo en su primer cumpleaños.
